PowerPoint alternative...anyone?

Can anyone recommend an alternative to PowerPoint for presentations? I'd
like something that is easy to use but adds some more interesting animation
and effect options. Has anyone used something like this....for PC only so
Keynote is out, anything complicated like director too would not be an
option.

Thanks

Well, if you don't want to go the Director or Flash route, and Keynote is
out, you're then probably looking at something like Impress (Open Office and
Star Office) or Corel Presentations. I don't know that those are any better
than PPT, though.

might get you started. (Wow, I didn't realize Harvard Graphics was still
available. It says it imports and exports PPT files, too. Cool.)

Maybe you could just brush up on your PPT animation skills, though? For
