powerpoint animations

At present when I give lectures I animate text on about half of my slides and
I have to do this slide by slide. Is there any easy way to set my slides to
animate automatically and then remove animations where not required?

Just place the animation on the master slide and in slide sorter use "slide
show-animation schemes - no animation" to remove from selected slides
