Powerpoint-Audio Issues

I can't get linked audio to play on a given slide OR when embedding a WAV
file, the audio plays but the slides will no longer automatically advance.
Can anyone help?

Which version of PowerPoint are you using? this should help.
Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)
