Powerpoint couldn't find the spelling file for English

PowerPoint 2003
I have a user that is getting the following error when attempting to run a
spell check. "Powerpoint couldn't find the spelling file for English (United
States)"
I have verified her settings in Control Panel Regional Options that she is
set to US English.
She gets the error on new and existing PowerPoint files.
Microsoft Word spell checking works correctly.

Any ideas?
