"PowerPoint couldn't write to Microsoft Word"

[arrrrgh.]

When I try to send my PowerPoint notes to Word (File > Send to... >
Microsoft Word) I get this warning, "PowerPoint couldn't write to Microsoft
Word". I am trying to send them as 'notes next to slides' for large
presentations- 60+ slides. When this happens, only a handful of slides are
sent to Word.

This is infuriating and a huge waste of my time. Please help me get this to
work.

What is the size of the Word file? I've run into a few cases where large
PPT files will crash the native 'Send To Word' function (much as you have
described).

You may want to try the free demo of my PowerPoint add-in "SlideIntoWord".
It creates smaller, faster Word documents from the slides and notes of a
PowerPoint presentation.

Recently I released a PowerPoint 2007 version, so as long as you are using
PowerPoint 2000 or newer, it might be your solution.

Does PPT 2007 have a way to do this without adding in additional software?
(I've found instructions for 2003 but not 2007.)

Yes, Send Slides To Word, but you said it wasn't working for you.

Thank you for your help but unfortunately this still doesn't work. I opened
the demo and then opened my PowerPoint presentation from the demo window and
it still couldn't write past slide 5. The file is 18,908 k. Surely I'm not
the only person who has large images in my slides. Did I not access the demo
properly? It opened as a black PowerPoint presentation.
