powerpoint crashes on print

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Has this issue been fixed yet? Using Powerpoint 2008 1223 patch, 10.5.8 operating system, crashes about 90% of the time to any printer. We use Xerox and Canon copiers with Fiery rips, and HP 5300 and 4300 series printers.

Our work around has been printing via 2004.

I've not seen an indication of a 'universal' problem printing from PPT 2008,
and those that have been presented here typically relate back a need for
driver updates for the printers. Not all driver updates are delivered by
Apple's Software Update & even those which are included aren't always
delivered in a timely fashion. The fact that you can print from '04 further
points to that possibility. If my guess is correct ‹ this is a networked
environment ‹ it may be that the updating has been done on either the
servers or the workstations but not, perhaps, on both.

It's also possible that the problem could be tied to a font issue... Not as
prevalent in Leopard as in its successor, but that may be worth
investigating if drivers aren't the issue.
