PowerPoint Files - "Read Only"

I'm working on a PowerPoint presentation and the .ppt file
on my hard drive is marked "archive" but when I save it
onto a CDR or a CDRW, the file on that media is
marked "Read Only" and once I pull it up, the program
won't allow me to save any changes, even though it offers
me the option to rename it and I do, but I still get the
following message: "An error occurred applying attributes
to this file: E:FileName.ppt
Access is denied" Is there a way around this? Help! Thanks

Going back in time......CD's are strictly speaking Read Only. That's what
the (ROM) stands for Read Only Memory.

What you need to do is....make all the changes the file on your computer
before putting it on to a CD.
Once it's on a CD it becomes Read Only. That's why you cannot rename it.
