powerpoint for xp

i have a new computer with microsoft xp and want to
install my older version of powerpoint from my old
computer how can i do this

Dave,

You will need your original disks to install powerpoint (floppy or cd) on
your new computer

As with most applications, PowerPoint needs to be installed, most
likely from a CD. But that brings rise to an interesting point.

If PowerPoint came pre-loaded on your old PC, you might be out of
luck. Check all the CDs that came with that PC for an Office CD. But
because the licensing agreement is pretty restrictive with many
pre-loaded apps -- essentially that it belongs to the PC, not the
owner -- it might very well not have an install CD.
