I am working on a presentation about PowerPoint and I would like some general
information about the software history and Microsoft's statement about why
they made it and what its purpose is. If you can contribute, a speedy reply
would be grateful. Thank You.

If you haven't already, perform a Google search
using "History of PowerPoint" (include quote marks).
There's at least a couple of interesting options from
which you can gather info...
