Powerpoint - Import from other PPT document

Hi,
I have two different presentations, each using a different
background template.

There is one particular chart I want to import to the
other presentation - but I want, if possible, to retain
the its own background template scheme. Is this possible?
Can I cut/copy the entire chart as is(incl background
template) as a picture for example?

Don,

You can, depending on version. If you have 2002/3, it will support multiple
masters. When you copy (right click in slide sorter | copy) and then paste
in the slide sorter (a little option button will pop up when you paste in
the slide sorter view, allowing you to select keep source formatting).
