Sorry, the natives are a bit restless because someone recently posted
that they were disappointed that PowerPoint couldn't be used for email.

First, I suggest you rephrase your question to be a bit more specific.
For example, are you asking for limitations when compared to newer
versions of PowerPoint, other presentation tools, a toaster (sorry, I'm a
bit restless too), etc.

If you are thinking about upgrading, the main things that newer versions
of PowerPoint buy you are much more advanced animations (including
multiple and fancier entrance and exit animations of a single object and
animations triggered by other objects) and multiple masters (allowing
different slides to be associated with different master slides).
