Powerpoint - Locking Layouts?

I wounder if it's possible to lock the layouts in Powerpoint? In PPT 2003? In
PPT 2007 mayby?

The locking functionality I need is for powerpoints Layout text- and image
place-folders. I have external writers and I want them to use the Layouts
without be able to shange the width, height, x and y of the place holders.
They shoulden't be able to delete a place-holder either. Do you understand my
needs better now.
