Powerpoint lose of sound while emailing from a Mac

"Microsoft Support Enablement - ANZ"
Is not able or willing to answer this question or refer me to a link
of how to include the sound file off a PPS with an email.
Over the past several years I have bought Microsoft Office 2004, 2008,
and now 2011 for MAC, specifically to use Powerpoint, I have been able
to produce lots of presentations with sound and they work very well on
my computer.
But when I email the presentation to an other computer I lose the
sound.
For 6 years now I have searched the net and Microsoft library for an
answer or a link to the answer. I have found plenty of suggestions, of
how to add sound to a presentation but I can't find the answer of how
to include the sound, while emailing it to my friends.
Some have recommended to link the sound or embed it but it does not
work for me in the earlier versions of Powerpoint 2004 or 2008.
Microsoft claims the latest version 2011 does embed the sound in its
PPSX presentation but only the very latest versions of powerpoint can
receive the presentation with sound.( so they claim )
The new powerpoint 2011 PPSX version also has a completely useless
option to convert it to a earlier PPS format, which most people still
seem to use.
But it loses the sound after conversion, "Open XML convertor" it too
will lose the sound.
Does someone has a solution or can refer me to a link which clearly
explains how to go about, sending emails with PPS attachment complete
with sound presentations.
Microsoft seems unwilling to do, they don't even respond to my
question.
I would be grateful.
