PowerPoint Missing Maps

R

Ron

Going back to the early versions of PowerPoint I've always been able to find
US maps that I could Ungroup and edit. My new company has the latest version
of PowerPoint, but all I can find is cartoons.

Where are the maps available in the older versions?

Does Microsoft still support businesses with their applications or has
everything gone XPish?

Much of the clipart is available online. Hit Insert/Picture/Clip Art, and
you should be able to search clips on the web as long as you have a decent
Internet connection.

Or just go straight to http://office.microsoft.com and hit the link to clip
art and media over on the left. WMF and EMF formats will generally be
ungroupable.

MVP Mary Sauer also has some ungroupable maps.

Echo - Thank you very much!

I got what I needed from Mary's site.

I've been to Microsoft's Clip art area. You can find individual states,
but if you want the full US, all they have are cartoons. If you are marking
territories they are pretty useless.

Good to know, Ron. Thanks for posting this followup info. I didn't realize
the maps had deteriorated so much!
