PowerPoint - Nonbreaking Space

I there a way in Powerpoint to create a nonbreaking space? For example,
September 20. In Word you can use (control - shift - space) that allows the
month and day to stay together. Is there a way to do this in Powerpoint?

Hi BLCS,

In Powerpoint 2003 you can use Insert=>Symbol, switch to 'Normal Text' and the no break space is the character after the ~ (tilde)
in the list. You can also type in the box there the Unicode(hex)
value of 00A0 or you can copy and paste from Word.
