Powerpoint Org Chart Formatting

I'm trying to make an org chart that has ten subordinates but want five on
the first line and five underneath. Is there a way to do this?

if your are using simple drawing shapes and connectors (and NOT the
"org chart" layout) you can have five boxes above and five below,
slightly offset so that the center of the box below is between the two
boxes above it so your connector can run between them.

that being said, connectors can get fussy if you are constantly moving
or adding things so I would adjust them last, or use lines (line tool)
by right-clicking> edit points and having gridlines set up so that
things fall just right.

Thanks for you quick response. I was hoping to do it with org chart layout so
that I don't lose all those features but it looks like that won't work.

If you turn off Autolayout on the diagramming toolbar (under the Layout
dropdown), you can drag stuff where you want it. By doing that and then
adjusting the connectors (using the yellow handles) so they overlap
appropriately, you can probably do what you want.
