powerpoint producer not preloading

We use Powerpoint/Producer to publish our class lectures online, and
for some reason the lectures don't properly preload on my computer.
When I open the lecture, the preload process DOES occur; I can see the
"Loading, please wait..." in the corner and I can see files being
downloading in the status bar of the browser. However, after the
lecture starts to play, I notice that nothing has really been
"preloaded." If the lecture has large images, I may have to wait up
to 20 seconds for the images to load, so I find myself just staring at
a blank screen as the lecturer keeps talking. I have to pause the
video, wait for the image to load, and then resume.

I am using Vista Ultimate 32-bit with IE7 with a fast DSL connection.
A friend of mine uses XP with IE7 and the same connection and for her
the lectures preload properly. I don't think it's a problem with
Vista, but maybe my settings in IE7 need to be changed.

Any ideas?

I never used the preloader for presentations- always seemed somewhat flakey
to me.

Add "#nopreload=1" to the url used to run the presentation to see if it
helps ( should avoid the preload)

Hello,

Which way do you use to upload your PP prsesentation online? I
uploaded my PP presentation on web one day, and found that my
visitors should download the presentation before viewing. If there are
not PowerPoint app or PowerPoint viewer installed on their computers
they cannot view my presentation. That made me crazy. After several
day's research and asked some experts for help, they recommend me to
view this article http://www.classroom20.com/profiles/blogs/5-ways-to-put-powerpoint
which supplies 5 ways to upload PowerPoint presentation on web, it
helps me a lot. Hope this article could help you.
