That's talking about non-square pixels (or rectangular pixels)... no mention
of round pixels

Did you ever see a round pixel?

Yup sure have. Although the tiny little fellas are hard to see. Actually
you can define the shape of the pixel within an asf stream to be just about
anything you want. Thankfully the idea of trying to use a round pixel has
pretty much died off. (Lots of people were playing with the idea in order
to get rid of the stair step effect of an angled line.)
