PowerPoint slides to OneNote

I am trying to copy pages from PowerPoint into OneNote and can't get it to
paste anything but a picture file. Is there any way to paste it so I can
then edit it in OneNote the same way you do in PowerPoint? Also, I am not
able to do anything but a straight paste...there are no paste options. Any
suggestions?

OneNote does not support OLE which is the underlying technology that allows
one to embed one document into another and still edit it, etc. as you're
asking. ON can only allow you to insert a printout or picture of a
slidedeck for the purpose of annotating those slides like one might in a
classroom setting.

Wasn't there a PowerToy at one point that could import PowerPoint
slide decks into OneNote?

For sure there was a PowerToy.
But that was just for ON2003.
No use for ON2007.
