PowerPoint Slideshow not running

hi people,

My powerpoint has a problem. Everytime i try to run a
slideshow, another minimized window will pop up at the
taskbar but when i try to click on it, NOTHING happens!
i tried uninstalling and re installing powerpoint and i
still get the same problem. btw, i've already updated my
powerpoint with the latest service pack.

What version of PowerPoint. Also, is it always the same file or does it
happen to every file you try to run as a slideshow?

Go to Slide Show > Set Up Show and be sure that it is set to Display slide
show on the Primary Monitor. I suspect that you have it set to display on
the secondary monitor. If you only have one monitor, the symptoms you
describe will occur.

It happens to all the files. I dont think the problem is
with the file because it works on other machines.

Hi,

The Set Up Show is disabled. I can't even click on it.
I am using Powerpoint 2000.

Set Up Show will be disabled while a show is running.
You should open the file (using File, Open from the main menu bar).
Don't start the slide show right away.
If you do that, Set Up Show should be available.
