PowerPoint SlideShow Problem

C

Clay

I am running PowerPoint 2000 (with all updates) under
Windows XP. When I open PowerPoint, and then open a .pps
slideshow file, all works fine. If I double click a .pps
file with Windows Explorer or attempt to open a .pps file
email attachment, the PowerPoint window doesn't show. In
this case, PowerPoint shows in the system task list. It
also shows as a task entry on the taskbar. The taskbar
entry repeatedly toggles from active to background with
either left or right mouse click, but nothing shows.

Anyone have a little help?

Sure,

It sounds as though your file associations have become messed up (technical
jargon for unintended dysfunctionally adjusted.)

Check this link for how to become better adjusted (well, your PowerPoint
anyway)
