Can I by any chance purchase just the PowerPoint package on its own or do I have to get the whole MS-WORD CD?

part of Office 2007 Home and Student Edition, Office 2007 Standard
Edition, Office 2007 Professional Edition, and Office 2007 Ultimate Edition.

If you are eligable for Home / Student version you might find that the whole
Office package is cheaper than the PPT standalone.
