Hello dear,
Please I want to know if I can make an EXE file from the
powerpoint presentation so it can stand alone and be
executed alone.
Thanks a lot,
WMD.

If you mean you want to click on a Power Point file and
make it launch as a show in full screen; then save the
presentation as a show file.

In Power Point go to File - Save As - and select Power
Point Show, in the save as type box

What Gary said re saving as PPS (PowerPoint Show), WMD. But your users
need to have either PPT or the PPT Viewer in order to see the show.

The upshot is that PPT won't create an EXE.

You can create an autorun CD with PPT, though, then your users wouldn't
need the PPT Viewer or PPT. http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00037.htm
for various instructions and options. Or you can check into the various
PPT to Flash options listed on the autorun CD pages of my site. URL's in
