PowerPoint Viewer 2007 to Vista Home Premium

Folks:

I downloaded the PowerPoint viewer 2007 to Vista Home Premium. When I try to
open a PP file the Open MXL Converter program is selected and the only
option I am given is to save the file. The files will not run. The PP files
were copied from a older XP computer.
Please advise.

How are you trying to open the files?

Are they PPT files or PPTX files?

Did you install (not just download) the Viewer? Do you have all Windows
updates installed?

Could be a file association issue:

So did you try fixing the file associations as suggested?

How are you trying to open the files?

They are .PPSX, .PPSM (new)
and .PPS (old).

I downloaded and installed PP viewer 2007
