PowerPoint viewer and annotations

Mary

I am using PowerPoint 2003 and the annotations do not work if the PowerPoint
viewer is used. I have not been able to find any knowledgebase document or
help file to explain this behavior. I do not have the toolbar disabled in
the Powerpnt.ini either. I actually can't find the Powerpnt.ini on my
machine.

I created one and listed the following lines with no change to the behavior.
[Microsoft PowerPoint]
SlideShowToolBar=1

I am running version 2003 (11.6361.6407) SP1 for PowerPoint
and 11.0.5702.0 of the Viewer.

Any ideas?

Hi,
VBA and Macro are not supported in Viewer.

The Viewer does not support annotations. If you want to annotate slides in
slide show mode, you'll need to run the presentation in the PowerPoint
application, not the Viewer.
