Powerpoint X and Win2k server

I uploaded a PowerPoint X [10.1.5] file to a Windows 2000
[SP4] server. When I downloaded it back onto my Mac, all
the images were replaced by red "x"'s. The images are in
JPEG and BMP formats. I am running Mac OA 10.2.8 with 1GB
of RAM.

I have seen other posts where people have the same problem
with Mac PPT files opening on Windows machines. Could this
be related? What can I do about it?

Are the images linked or embedded?

And could you explain exactly what you mean when you say "uploaded" and
"downloaded"?
That might mean any of several things. Best to be sure what we're talking
about.
