PowerPt 2003 runs very slow

I just installed PP 2003 on my laptop. The performance speed for editing,
creating, and viewing slides is very, very slow. How can I correct this
problem.

Huge ppt slides often lag if it runs on slower laptop/ desktop. You can
minimise the problem by:
- uncheck the auto preview at the custom animation when you are assigning
custom animations.
- Click on play button which is found at the custom animation rather than
view slide show in full screen

Try turning down your "screen depth" (number of colors) on your windows
desktop

from 32bit to 24bit
or from 24bit to 16bit

I did as you suggested but am still having the same problem. Any other
suggestions?

Okay. I would try disabling it temporarily and see if that helps.
