PowperPoint movies

No matter what I set the custom settings for the movie it wil not advance to
the next slide. I do NOT have the rewind box clicked. Anybody have any
suggestions?

There's an issue with the mouse dying with some MPG1s and mmm, PPT 2000, I
think it is. The resolution is to update to the latest version of Direct X.
