PP2000 crashes with slide show

Hi
I have a brand new computer with windows2000 and office2000. Otherwise the Office programs work just fine, also power point, but when I try to open the power point slides in "slide show" mode, the computer crashes. No error messages, just blank black screen... Nothing helps (not even ctl/alt/del) and the only solution is to reboot

Help me, please
