Text in a monospaced font (e.g., Courier) no longer lines up precisely in all
cases. For example, two lines of alphabetic characters usually line up right,
but numbers placed above them will not line up exactly. Placing numbers
within or at the beginning of a line of text also messes up the character
alignment.
PowerPoint thus can no longer be used by scientific users wishing to prepare
a figure of aligned DNA or protein sequences for presentation or publication.
