The correspondance between the position of objects in the editing screen vs.
the on-screen slide show is much less accurate than in previous versions of
PowerPoint. For example, a box intended to cover some text must be nudged 2-3
pixels left of where it appears correct on the editing screen in order to be
correctly positioned in Slide Show mode.
However, if a presentation created in PP2007 is displayed on a computer
running PP2003 or earlier, the objects will be positioned in the slide show
as they are on the edit screen. This means one must have two distinct version
of each presentation that might be shown in different versions of PowerPoint,
with the positions of all graphic objects adjusted accordingly.
