PP97 and music

I use PowerPoint 97. Please help a dummy. I can insert a wave file into a
presentation (I prefer PPS files to PPT files). How do I make it play
throught the entire presentation? Also, is it sufficient to insert it on
just one slide or must it be put on all slides and somehow linked?

Insert the wav on slide 1. In the custom animation dialogue select
While playing continue slide show and
"stop playing after xx slides " (xx = number of slides)

PS you also need to tick "play using animation order" - long time since I was
using ppt97!
