Only difference in the file is the last letter of the extension. PowerPoint
opens ppt files in edit mode and pps files in show mode. On some computers,
the pps files are associated with the Viewer instead of the full product.
Benefits depend on whay you are doing with the file. If you prefer to see
the edit interface, make your files ppt files. If you would like to hide the
edit interface from those watching the presentation, make them pps files.
Any clearer?
