I'm trying to save my presentation onto a CD to play for
others who may not have Power Point. I have been told
to "Save As" a pps file. However, I don't seem to be
given that option. When given the option to save as a
presentation, it saves as a ppt file. Help.

Go to File/Save As and choose PPS (Show) in the "as type" box at the
bottom of the Save As dialog box. Just clicking the save icon on the
toolbar will save as your default file type, which seems to be PPT.
