PPT - no elapsed time in presenter view

In presenter view, using 10 sec. timings, the slide counter increments but
the elapsed time stays at 00:00. Any suggestions for correcting this? tks....

I'm not real sure what would be happening. When I set up a show in
PowerPoint XP with 10 slides at 10 second intervals, the timer in Presenter
view works perfectly.

Try rebooting the system, often this will clear out many gremlins from
programs. If that doesn't work, perhaps try a detect and repair (Help (in
PowerPoint) => Detect & Repair) . If neither of these fixes the problem
post back with some additional information.
