ppt Slide won't advance automatically when sound file is added

I have inserted a sound file into my powerpoint presentation and now the
slides won't advance automatically unless I click. I have turned off every
possible place that prompts for a mouse click. The presentation advances
automatically without the sound file added. Would love some help on this.

Sounds like the slide is waiting for the sound file to finish before it
