PPT to play on a DVD player

YOu don't. PowerPoint has no method to create a video file. You can try
using one of the screen capture programs but unles you have a VERY fast
(dual CPU)
machine the results will be less than desireable.

Hey, Thanks for the info.
What about about exporting to keynote on MAC. They have an option to convert
to a Quicktime Movie.

Sorry, don't know anything about a Mac.

Office on the Mac also has an export to Quicktime function, though I've no
idea how faithfully it converts and what options you have. Then you'd need
to convert the Quicktime to MPEG2 and author as a DVD. And that's assuming
your PowerPoint presentation is automatic. Adding manual cues open another
bag of spanners.

That's strange.... I see a book on amazon about yoga <g>

"If you are looking for a challenging yoga practice, this is the DVD to
choose"

It takes a bit of doing and some video editing software. With this method
you lose all of the slide transitions and custom animations. Break up all
your slides into single pieces. That is, if you have three bullet points
that slide onto the screen, break that one slide into three. The first point
on the first slide, the first TWO points on the second slide, and all three
points on the third slide. Now, save your entire presentation as JPEGs (or
similar file format).

Open up your video editing software. Import, in sequential order, your
PowerPoint slides and then proceed to create your DVD or VHS tape. I have
done several video projects using this technique.

use some third party tools.

How to do it----
Tools:1. PPT2DVD free trial from http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/download.php?sid=4
2. a dvd burner

Steps:
1. install PPT2DVD on your computer
2. lanch PPT2DVD
3. import your PowerPoint presentation in PPT2DVD
4. select the needed configurations for your presentation

NOTE: pay attention to these features because they affect the final playing
results:
---norm: NTSC PAL
---video aspect: 1:1 4:3 16:9
5. convert your presentation to a video file
6. burn the converted presentation file to a dvd with a dvd burner.

Some important things, make sure the dvd and the dvd player are compatible.

About the animation and music
This program supports the conversion of most transitions, text animations,
graphics animations in PowerPoint Music can also be well preserved in sync
with the slides.
For better conversion results, it is recommended to add the music after
conversion with the" add background music " fearure in the program.

Note that ,if your PowerPoint file is too complex, pls choose 'Record volume'
in the advance setting, and do not make other noise sound when converting, for
it would record all your music and sounds playing.

and some tutorial about creating photo slide show with PowerPoint
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1419
and some free PowerPoint templates (if you need)
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com/freetemplates/Travel.html
Note that in this way you can get a DVD and you can control it use a remote
control.
There is another way to convert it to video, but can not control by a remote
control. If you want to convert it to AVI or other format video, you should
use Camtasia studio etc..

.... or better yet, look for responses to posts that were answered almost 2
years ago. This post was answered Feb. 2005. What new advice do you
propose for this poster? Oh wait, you just wanted to get your name out
there, right?

Well, it is out there. Your advertising method sucks.
