ppt viewer and video controls

Is there any way to introduce video controls, such as Activex, to fast
forward or rewind, etc, for videos in shows that will be seen using ppt
viewer? I have tried using ppt2007 video controls; these do work within
power point but not in the viewer. Any ideas?

What I am trying to do is to incorporate video controls in a ppt viewer
supported presentation. A video of the presentation would negate all the
interactive functions.

Actually I did find a way to introduce video controls in ppt viewer. Instead
of inbedding the video within power point, I now link the slide to the video
file istelf. Apparently ppt viewer supports window media player because when
the link opens it turns on the media player and all its video controls.
