I'm working on a presentation that has to run full screen on pc with audio. During testing I had a lot of troubles especially with the audio. In the meantime I've read a lot about the gotchas that are not in the manual. Now I've packaged the ppt and the mp3 in 1 folder. From what I've read this should work on a pc but I can't test it myself. Are there any more gotchas I'm not aware of?

Hi,

The feature you are seeking is File > Save As > PowerPoint package.

PowerPoint will create a Pacakge folder, then make a copy of your
presentation along with copies of any liked sounds or movies, and the
links will all be set properly so you can copy the Package folder to a
CD, flash drive, email, or whatever.

Thanks Jim, I had figured that out already. I just just wondering if there was more I had to be aware of. Since true cross platform is not in M$' dictionary.

Hi

I wouldn't say it's not in their dictionary. PowerPoint does a nice job
with pictures and shapes. The handling of sounds and movies haven't had
a once-over in many years. PowerPoint still thinks we all have 500 meg
hard drives. Today disc space means almost nothing, except when
transferring files from one computer to another or sharing on the internet.

Eventually, internet speeds will increase and DHCP will go away so
you'll be able to share everything just using your Mac instead of having
to rely on Google or an ISP.
