Practice Management with Scheduling

I am creating a physician's practice management solution and I'd like to add
"calendar" scheduling to it. Can anyone offer suggestions on how best to do
this? Is linking the Outlook Calendar viable or is this something that can
be generated within Access itself?

Automation with Outlook would be a much quicker and full-featured
option. It requires above-average skills but it is certainly possible.
Study the Outlook object model. I expecially like COM's ability to
"listen in" on events in another application (read up on WithEvents)
so that if for example an appointment is deleted in Outlook, your
Access app will know about it.
