pre-released word 2007 cannot be opened in word 2008 for mac

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel a lot of my word file were written with a pre-released word 2007 version for pc and on the mac I am not able to open them, they are a lot, I don't have direct access to a pc, is there any plugins or converter to use to be able to open them?

Word 2008 will open them straight up. Make sure your file extension is
correct and your Office 2008 is fully updated.

actually I have the latest update but when I go to open one of those files it says " This file was created in a pre-release version of Microsoft Word 2007 for Windows and cannot be opened in Microsoft Word 2008 for Macintosh."

Yes, that's quite possible. The files were apparently created by someone
using an early Beta version of 2007 but were not re-saved through the
successive beta releases as the file format was updated. If that's the case
even the Windows 2007 rtm versions most likely cannot open the files.

I'd suggest you check in the Win Word group to see if something came along
later, but I'm not aware of it:

I am pretty sure I still have the pre-release version of Word 2007 kicking
around here somewhere, I should be able to get it open for you.

If not, File>Open and choose "Recover text from any file" should get the
contents out for you without the formatting.
