Precent changes in certain areas od document

I have a Word docuemnt that uses several database fields
to link data from an Access database. The fields link
fine, but the populated fields can be manually changed by
any user (with the changes being lost when the field is
updated). Is there any way to "lock" the information in
displayed in the fields to prevent these manual changes?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Ben,

If you select the fields and press Ctrl+Shift+F9, it will unlink them from
the source, or if you use Ctrl+F11, it will lock them
