Prefixing an EMail Address

Frank B

I am creating Email in software which will be sent to user
A, a copy to user B, and C, and a Blind Copy to user D. I
thought it OK to use the following format which includes a
prefix in front of the actual address... examples:

TO: Mary Smith: [[email protected]]
CC: Tom Jones: [[email protected]]; Fred: [[email protected]]
BCC: My Office: [[email protected]]

I guess the [ ] are a standard to use to enclose the EMail
address, but I'm not even sure of that. It is the prefix
in from of the brackets where I'm totally guessing.
Especially, for what characters are not allowed in the
prefix.

While testing at my house the above works OK. At the
office the email server bounces it. Is there a standard
for prefixing an Email address? Any guidance would be
appreciated....

Thanks,
Frank
PS: I use Outlook 2k c/w (with Redemtion)... House uses
Comcast (home), and office uses Comcast (business).
