preparing to install when starting word

Can someone please help. everytime I start up word or any
offcie document the prparing to install dialog box appears
briefly before the program starts. does oneone know how to
stop this from happening?

have you tried putting the CD in and letting the install run?

Stu - Did you find an answer to this? The exact same
thing is happening to me! And only with office
applications - not with other things like my Palm,
Internet Explorer, etc.
