Howdy,
I run Word 2002 SP3 with XP...
On occasion (and seemingly randomly), when I try to launch
Word, I see a dialog telling me that the system is
"Preparing to install" one of its features.
Then, with lots of disk activity, I have to wait about 30
seconds, and Word launches properly.
I have uninstalled, and re-installed Office more than once
in an attempt to eliminate this nuisance, but it still
occurs.
What might be causing this problem, and what might I do
about it?
