Prevent command button from printing

A command button in the actual document is used to pull data from Access
tables. Instead of deleting the button each time I print, I would rather
that it simply didn't print somehow. Currently, the button is programmed to
hide (for printing) by shrinking it to the minimum size. This does not work
for both .dot and .doc files. It prints anyway. How can we ensure the
command button won't print in any case? Thanks.

Wouldn't it be simpler to put the button on a toolbar?

That sounds like our solution. Don't mind my ignorance. I'm no developer.

Toolbar buttons are not part of the document and therefore don't print so it
appears that you have some other type of button - probably a macrobutton?
