Prevent editing of received, opened messages

I've recently had a couple of instances where a coworker has sent me a
message that I've opened and read, and later they have edited the message so
it says something completely different. How can I prevent this?

Let me make sure I understand.

User A sends you a mail message.
You read the mail message.
User A does something.
You read the *same* mail message again and it now says something completely
different.

Correct?

What type of mail server are you using? Do you know what User A is doing
to make this happen?

I had a similar situation like you have just describe. Is there a GPO or a
setting within my company's Exchange enviorment that could prevent our users
from doing this?

The only way that could happen is if User A either logs in as you, or has
full permissions to your mailbox. Once the message has been received by
you *and* marked as read, that's the only way the message will change. If
it hasn't been marked as read, it's also possible to recall and replace the
message.

As for a GPO... well... unless you can tell us what someone is doing to make
it happen, there's no way we could say whether there's a GPO or not. I mean,
after all, GPOs are there to prevent/allow things. But you haven't said
what the thing is.
