Preventing Microsoft Office from loading at Startup

Does anyone know how can I uncheck Microsoft Office in
msconfig so that it does not load at startup? I tried
deleting the check mark several times, but when I reboot
so the change can take affect, the check mark appears
again.

Try using the built in way to prevent loading. R-click the OSB button
and select Exit THEN answer No when it asks if you want it to
automatically start.
