preview pane + HTML content = slow response time ?

Hi,

I've outlook 2003, when I click on an email with an HTML content, outlook
stop responding for 2-3 seconds before displaying the content of the email.

but the problem does not appear on all HTML message, but sometimes yes,
sometimes no...

any idea of the problem ?
how to resolve the problem?

Do you have images blocked (the default) or are they loading? Does it seem
to be specific types of HTML - i.e., more complex html can take longer to
render.
