Preview Pane keeps coming back

Everytime I open my inbox I turn off the preview pane. The next time I come
back it is turned on again. I have VISTA Ultimate and Outlook 2007

This is an indication that Outlook isn't closing properly after you set the
Reading Pane property. Close Outlook and then use Task Manager to see if
there is still a process named "OUTLOOK.EXE" running. If so, you'll have to
discover what's preventing the shutdown. You can start with that here:
